Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana and Rio’s favelas we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colouful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental Grooves, Afro-Beat rhythms n’ pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The label was founded by producers/djs Larry SKG, Pale Penguin and graphic designer Freddie Wyatt in Thessaloniki, Greece, back in early 2015 with the aim to provide modern Electronic Afrotropical music with exceptional design and merchandise! Some years later Larry left the label to focus more on his personal career while producers/djs Mbaya Ritmos from Athens, Greece and Haris Kate from Katerini, Greece join the family. Nowadays SHANGO RECORDS is one of the hottest labels in the modern Downtempo/Organic-House scene with quality releases, unique series of Eps, vinyl releases, superb label events and parties, huge chart success and high reputation amongst the biggest names of the scene.
