SURFFACE – Surfface is a musical duo marked by wavy, electric sounds of dark disco, indie dance, deep and progressive house – touched by influences of world music. At its core is a duet of a musical friendship which flows together to compose sounds that touch, enrich and deepen the soul.
Paul started as a 15-year-old in Denmark, playing around with mixing vinyl. Playing soon turned to mastery, as he evolved with technology and time. Twenty years later, Paul has become a seasoned figure within the electronic music scene, playing at exclusive parties, raves and clubs across Denmark Sweden and Amsterdam. Paul carries a deep techno sound with tribal and progressive elements – a sound that today, has become emblematic of Surfface.
DJ, music ambassador and conceptualist Anton has earned his reputation as a well-known music promoter within Europe. Starting at the tour promoter company AIT Music Productions, he was involved in staging rock tours across Scandanavia, with recognized bands from Europe and America such as Laiback, Front line Assembly, Marine of Ladytron and Okean Elzy. It is Anton’s primal passion for music, and his extensive knowledge that refines and enriches the sounds of Surfface.
Anton and Paul blend two contrasting backgrounds, powered by a shared creative and artistic attitude with music always at the center. Mix in their long-lasting friendship and it comes as no surprise that their DJ-duo was born.
From 2017 duo plays at well-known and significant techno events in Stockholm. “FF music” – is the promotor’s face of Surfface under which Anton and Paul invite for gigs in Sweden electronic artists from all over the world to perform in Stockholm.
Currently based in Sweden, Surfface have rapidly hit the ground running – both organically through word-of-mouth whispers within the music community, but also in hard numbers and statistics: In 2022 alone, they’ve had 5 releases, played several gigs in Scandinavia and Europe, and had their track ‘Peace will Come’ top charted on Indie Dance TOP 10 Charts on Beatport. They have released on known labels such as Sincopat, Jeahmon Records and other renowned labels within the Indie dance and dark disco genres.
2023 will only continue to fuel the fire, more music set to be released including remixes, as well as intentions to expand their gig schedule throughout Europe.
